EXPLAINATION

With experiential learning leading the pedagogical ethos at Lawrenceville, pupils are encouraged to apply their learning through a variety of practical endeavors with the ‘Outdoor Classroom’ programme and the school ‘Big Red Farm’. Lawrenceville has adopted the ‘Harkness’ tutorial-esque learning style from a young age, encouraging discussion and debate in small classes. There is a rich tradition of dramatic arts at the school and a similarly strong sporting ethos, with more than 70 teams featuring across 21 interscholastic sports. Most notably, the on-campus ‘Hutchins Institute for Social Justice’, welcomes senior pupils to enroll in bespoke programmes to develop their interest in social justice.
