EXPLAINATION

The teaching at SPGS suits the most academic of girls, stretching them to go way beyond the curriculum and challenging them to think critically, creatively and be intellectually curious. The school has devised several of its own directed courses that are externally assessed and well recognised by universities.  The school takes an international outlook, reflected in its pupil body, and offers regular exchange programmes and trips to the US and China. Entry is highly competitive with families drawn to the ethos and the significant number of pupils going on to secure places at Oxbridge and Ivy League universities. Alumni are a roster of success stories with well known academics and astronomers, actresses and authors and politicians including Rachel Weisz, Emily Mortimer, Jenifer Saunders and Harriet Harman.
