Eton College

FOCUS:
Independent thought and learning in the pursuit of excellence
Founded by King Henry VI in 1440, tradition still shapes some of the College’s guiding principles, but it is a willingness to innovate which has seen the school thrive for almost six centuries. Academic excellence is a given and is coupled with unparalleled opportunities to discover and develop strengths in art, music, drama and sport.  Princes and Prime Ministers (20 at the current count) have benefitted from an Eton education, as well as actors and authors.  Despite it’s elitist reputation, it has one of the biggest social inclusion programmes of any independent school and whilst academics are important, Eton is always looking for that ‘little bit extra’ that makes a boy stand out. Registration by Year 5 is imperative.
