The Dalton School
FOCUS:
Creative, independent critical thinkers
The Dalton School, founded in 1919 by educational pioneer Helen Pankhurst, has long been at the forefront of progressive education. Its innovative ‘Dalton Plan’ promotes self-motivated, independent learning, shifting away from traditional didactic methods. This redefinition of traditional education empowers pupils to take charge of their own education by identifying their interests and owning responsibility for them. Serving around 1,300 pupils from KG through 12th Grade, the school combines a robust academic curriculum with extensive programmes in the arts and athletics, featuring facilities like a cutting-edge engineering lab and well-equipped art studios. Facilities also include a newly built Lab for Teaching and Learning, designed to integrate technology into the educational experience. Dalton nurtures a vibrant community where pupils thrive and graduate well-prepared for top universities worldwide.
