Founded in 1851 by the first Bishop of Colombo, St. Thomas' College is located a 30-minute drive south of Colombo, on a stunning campus that stretches down to the beach at Mount Lavinia. Originally Christian in foundation, all nationalities and faiths have studied harmoniously together throughout its history. The College still retains links with its past, as the Anglican Bishop of Colombo chairs the Governing body. Building on its rich heritage and multicultural pupil body, they offer a comprehensive curriculum, including a London Advanced section for taking British qualifications such as IGCSE and A Levels. They also offer dedicated streams for arts, commerce, and science taught in local languages. St. Thomas’ College remains a cornerstone of education in Sri Lanka upholding its tradition of educating those who contribute to society.
