St George's British International School, Rome

FOCUS:
Internationalism, inclusivity and excellence
Founded in 1958 as a not-for-profit school, it was originally a beacon for Rome’s expat community; 65 years later it educates pupils from 100 different nationalities including 30% from Italy. Whilst this fusion of cultures creates an open-minded and open-hearted community, it is still firmly rooted in the rich culture of its host city. For a non-selective school, IGCSE and IB results are way above average and pupils go onto to study at top institutions ranging from Caltech, Stanford, Imperial and Bocconi. Unsurprisingly, St Georges Rome is widely considered to be one of the top international schools in Europe. The school recently acquired the adjacent land restoring the original 23 acre La Storta site to provide enhanced provision for the Junior school and additional sports facilities.
