L’Aiglon College

FOCUS:
Balanced development of mind, body and spirit
Founded in 1949 based on the principles and ethos of British boarding schools, L'Aiglon offers a broad academic education combined with outdoor adventure and a global community. With a hybrid of GCSE’s followed by the International Baccalaureate, there is a strong emphasis on STEM and the humanities running through both curriculums. L'Aiglon’s inclusive environment promotes lifelong friendships and cultural understanding, guided by the philosophy to "try new things, ask probing questions, and dare". The school is spread across 16 buildings nestled on the mountain slopes of Villars, and this picturesque setting is the ideal location for outdoor activities, with skiing, rock climbing, and hiking integrated into the curriculum. This helps to build resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills and by nurturing the mind, body, and spirit, this school provides a holistic education that truly stands out.
