A traditional all boys prep school, Ludgrove is one of the few to be full boarding, with a two-weekly boarding system that appeals both to British and international families. Head, Simon Barber, is the third generation of his family to run Ludgrove, and with his wife Sophie, they form the beating heart of the school. The homely environment provides boys with space to learn, grow and make friendships for life, in an atmosphere that mixes high achievement with kindness and good manners. Sports are traditional; rugby, cricket and clay pigeon shooting and although nonselective on entry, boys are guided towards Eton, Radley, and Marlborough.
