With a maximum capacity of 65 pupils, this school is deliberately small and the family atmosphere that this engenders is almost unique and leaves a life-long legacy. With only 10 girls in each year group, everyone is heard and encouraged to challenge themselves and be ‘the author of her own story’. The ‘Surval Core’ encourages skills and interests beyond the curriculum with a focus on international relations, the culinary arts, History of Art, adventure challenges and their well-known Global etiquette programme. There is also a chance to come to Surval for a term or a year to become fluent in French and take part in their culture programme, a wonderful legacy of the ’finishing school’ era.
